JIM DUNLOP Hetfield's White Fang Custom Guitar Pick - 1.14mm

James Hetfield, one of the greatest riff masters of all time, requires gear that can match his monstrous performance, including his picks. When he approached Dunlop in search of a pick that met his high standards, we collaborated closely with him to develop a solution that not only kept up with his performance but enhanced it. Starting with the Flow Standard Pick 1.0mm as our base, we subjected it to a series of rigorous tests on the road at Hetfield's request, incorporating adjustments and tweaks to perfect it.

To ensure that every note and chord makes an impact through all the speed and gain, we incorporated the blended beveled edges of the Black Fang Pick, resulting in a super snappy attack with bright articulation. Additionally, we increased the weight to 1.14mm, a specification not typically available in the standard Flow Pick line, to achieve the perfect balance between mass and articulation. Lastly, we improved the grip by creating a custom pattern, ensuring that the pick stays in place when Hetfield digs in.

According to Hetfield, "The White Fang Pick has amazing grip when sweating from heavy riffing, and a smaller profile to go faster. Plus, the white is easier to see when they get thrown into the crowd."

The pick combines the specially engineered shape of Flow Picks with Hetfield’s Black Fang Pick, providing superior control with its small profile and low profile grip. The blended beveled edge allows the pick to glide across the strings, while the wide angle and sharp tip focus the attack. The Pick Tin includes 6 picks.
