Dimebag Darrell effortlessly blended a cowboy’s swagger with high-gain riffs and squealing pinch harmonic-laden leads. His sound and dynamics were greatly influenced by the Cry Baby Wah, even during a time when wah pedals were not in style. Dimebag was a dedicated user of the Cry Baby 535Q Multi-Wah, and after years of touring, he worked with us to create the most versatile wah in our lineup: The Dime Cry Baby from Hell Wah.
This pedal’s development began 20 years ago, when Dimebag sought even more customization for his rig on stage. We started with the 535Q’s Q control, 6-way range selector, and adjustable kick-in boost, and then expanded it to include a wider sweep range, a control for adjusting the pedal’s toe-down frequency, an extra output for splitting your signal to a separate FX chain, and back-mounted LED indicators to easily see whether the wah is on and whether the boost is engaged. To ensure that your foot doesn’t slip on any spilled beverages, we replaced the standard rubber tread with skateboard skid tape.
The Dime Cry Baby from Hell Wah is the ultimate pedal for any touring rig, and its new black camo finish will have you grinning from ear to ear in no time. This new and improved version also includes a 6-way frequency selector, extended sweep range, LED indicators for wah and boost status, and comes with a Dunlop ECB-003 9 volt power supply.
