Daredevil Pedals’ builder Johnny Wator and the Cry Baby team have joined forces to create the Cry Baby Daredevil Fuzz Wah, which offers a full palette of raw and aggressive tones. This pedal combines the expressive voice of a modded Cry Baby with a gnarly custom fuzz circuit, resulting in a bold new sound born out of Johnny's love for classic vintage circuits.
Inspired by his guitar heroes who used wah pedals, Johnny spent years fine-tuning the circuit and building prototypes for friends and bandmates. Eventually, he brought the design to Dunlop, and the collaboration resulted in the Cry Baby Daredevil Fuzz Wah, a pedal that stays true to Daredevil's straight-forward and dirty style.
The only external control on the pedal is a heavy-duty baseball bat switch that toggles the fuzz on and off. Underneath the bottom plate, there are two internal pots that allow you to adjust the pedal's output and dial in your preferred level of fuzz intensity, perfect for achieving instant lead tones. Boosting both the output and gain gives you a killer old school tone with enough power to blow the whole room away.
The pedal comes in a special housing with a vintage crinkle finish base, a polished aluminum rocker top, and a custom design tread. Each one is hand built with thru-hole components and true bypass switching, creating an ode to full-frontal rock ’n’ roll. With the Cry Baby Daredevil Fuzz Wah, you can achieve a wide range of tones and unleash powerful, aggressive sounds to elevate your playing to the next level.
